Blackbird (2012)

Blackbird has always been regarded as one of Class Act’s best productions, and the response to it’s return to the stage was quite remarkable.  Set in Newcastle in 1910, it deals with the Teale family and their struggle in a time of poverty and hunger.  The great miners strike and creation of the unions bring strife and suffering to their lives in this gritty but touching drama.  With cheers and standing ovations at each performance, this must surely be one of Class Act’s finest.
